Taksham Reforestation Project

In the Powo Taksham Reforestation Project, which is funded by the Tibetan Weaving Project, there have been numerous developments in the past year:

1. A fruit tree plantation with five different species has been established; a total of 400,000 young trees have been planted.
2. A medicinal plant plantation has been laid out.
3. A truck has been purchased for delivery of supplies.
4. A storehouse and office are under construction at the plantation.
5. Four new students have joined the existing seven students in Chamdo in the study of traditional Tibetan medicine.
